SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Recent rainfall has been welcomed here in Sioux Falls, but you may not see any considerable improvement in drought status.
According to the National Weather Service in Sioux Falls, that’s because precipitation totals over the past year are 10 inches behind where we should be.
The city has only experienced 17.8 inches of moisture since last July, making it the 9th driest year on record during that timeframe.
The dry spell will likely continue with little rain and warm temps in the upcoming forecast.
