SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Link, which is a triage center for people who need drug, alcohol, or mental health help, has been open in Sioux Falls for six weeks.
Assistant Director of Public Health for the City, Alicia Collura, told the City Council Tuesday afternoon that The Link has seen 400 triages in the past month and a half, which is more than they expected.
She also says this month has been busier than last month.
Allura said the opening of the center has reduced emergency room visit and jail intakes.
Allura also told the Council of upcoming phases to expand the facilities.
