SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It was a relatively quiet 4th of July holiday for the Sioux Falls Police.
Here are the highlights from Tuesday’s daily briefing.
NO FIREWORKS ARRESTS, BUT…
Sioux Falls Police made no arrests for fireworks violations over the 4th of July holiday.
However, Sgt. Nick Butler said they did issue a number of citations.
He didn’t have the exact number at Tuesday’s police briefing.
Butler says they normally issue around 300 citations for fireworks over Independence Day.
ANOTHER HIT AND RUN, ANOTHER VEHICLE TO FIND

MAN TRIES TO ROB CASINO, COMES UP SNAKE EYES
Sioux Falls Police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a casino in the 12th Street and Western Avenue area this weekend.
Police say he assaulted the clerk, who sustained minor injuries.
The would-be robber did not get any cash.
The authorities say they are looking for a larger man who is either Native American or Black.
There is security footage that the police will examine.
