HARRISBURG, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department is asking you to be careful when shooting fireworks.
Late Friday night, emergency personnel responded to a fire in Harrisburg where the garage connected to a house was fully engulfed in flames. Crews were able to put out the fire before it spread through the entire house. The garage is a total loss and there is significant damage to parts of the house.
While the cause of the fire is under investigation, the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department said they suspect fireworks. They ask that you use plenty of water to put out the your fireworks before putting them in the trash.
