SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls Police have a stark message for fireworks fans this Fourth of July: Please don’t blow your fingers off.
In a Facebook post Friday (below), the SFPD has the before and after x-rays of what they say are injuries from someone holding an M-80 firecracker.
Let’s just say it isn’t a pretty image.
Once again, the police and Mayor Paul TenHaken remind you that it is illegal to shoot off fireworks in Sioux Falls that explode or fly. If you’re caught, you’ll pay a $95 fine.
Call the SFPD non-emergency number, 367-7000, to report illegal fireworks being discharged.
Oh, and don’t hold fireworks in your pocket, in your hand, or put your face over them unless you want to get injured.
Keep All Your Digits This Independence Day
