NWS Heat Advisory map, 6/10/21.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — There’s a heat advisory in effect for our area Thursday afternoon.
The National Weather Service says hot temperatures and high humidity make conditions dangerous. They’re encouraging people to stay hydrated and stay out of the sun if possible.
They also say not to leave kids or pets in a car unattended. It can get too hot in there, even with a window rolled down.
The NWS says thunderstorms and heavy rain are possible Thursday night into Friday morning.
Stay tuned to KELO Radio for the latest on our hot and possibly stormy weather.
