SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — In accordance with Sioux Falls Parks and Recreation’s water quality policies, Terrace Park Family Aquatic Center, located at 1001 West Madison Street, will be closed Monday, June 7, 2021, due to a diarrhea incident today.
An incident of this nature requires the implementation of a disinfection process that requires maintaining elevated chlorine levels for a period of 25 hours before reopening to the public. This procedure is based on guidelines set by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Terrace Park Family Aquatic Center is anticipated to reopen on Wednesday, June 9, at 1 p.m.
All other outdoor aquatic facilities will be open during their regularly scheduled hours.

- Drake Springs Family Aquatic Center, 301 South Fairfax Avenue
- Laurel Oak Family Aquatic Center, 3401 East 49th Street
- Pioneer Spray Park 1800 East Walnut Street
The Midco® Aquatic Center is also open for their regularly scheduled hours of 5:30 a.m.–8 p.m.
