YANKTON, S.D. (WNAX) — As life returns to a more normal pace, the South Dakota State University Foundation will be ready with its next major fundraising campaign.
Foundation president Steve Erpanbach said they have set another ambitious goal.
“The working goal was $425 million from our consultants, and we hope for it to be even higher than that based on how our fundraising continues to go,” Erpanbach said. The foundation now has an endowment fund of just under $300 million.
Erpanbach said they plan to fund a variety of projects, including a renovation of Frost Arena, home of SDSU’s basketball teams.
“It will be very people-centered. It will be very focused on support for faculty and support for scholarships,” Erpanbach said.
Erpanbach said the foundation plans to officially launch the campaign during Hobo Week this fall.
