VALLEY SPRINGS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Despite the semi-drought and drought conditions in South Dakota, Congressman Dusty Johnson says producers he’s been talking to say the crops are doing ok.
Johnson met with corn and soybean producers Monday in Valley Springs.
He says prices for the commodities are surprisingly high.
The Congressman also notes that there have been a lot of political and societal changes in the past few years that could impact the federal aid crop farmers have received.
Johnson appeared Monday morning on KELO Radio’s It’s Your Business with Bill Zortman.
Sat down with South Dakota Corn & South Dakota Soybean today. We discussed a range of issues and one thing was clear on workforce, trade, and farm programs — producers want predictability. @sdcorn @sdsoybean pic.twitter.com/cCxtaT3K0D
