SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says 2021 is running a bit below normal for warnings. 12 warnings have been issued in the Sioux Falls forecast area through today. On average, that number is closer to fifty. The National Weather Service says we have yet to have a severe thunderstorm watch or tornado watch in the area this year.
The latest outlooks show very low risks for severe weather for the the next 7 days. Just remember though, that our peak severe weather season doesn’t arrive for another 2-3 weeks.
