REAL COPS ARREST FAKE COP
Sioux Falls Police arrest a fake policeman.
Authorities say that Eric Scott Sprecher, 35, from Sioux Falls, wore a ball cap that said “Police” and a tactical vest that said “Police” and questioned a woman in front of her home Tuesday night.
The would-be cop asked her about drug activity in her neighborhood.
The woman thought the pretend cop was fishy and called 9-1-1 and asked for the real police.
The ersatz officer then ran off.
The real police caught him driving drunk.
He’s charged with DUI, drugs, impersonating a police officer, and having a firearm while intoxicated.
Officer Sam Clemens said the woman did the exact right thing by contacting 9-1-1 to check out the imposter.
