SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It’s been a strange day of crime and accidents in Sioux Falls Monday and Tuesday.
Here are some highlights from the daily Sioux Falls Police briefing.
FATAL ACCIDENT UPDATE
Sioux Falls Police put drones up in the sky over the site of Saturday night’s double-fatal car accident near the east side Walmart.
They are using the devices to help map the accident scene at Highline Avenue and Veteran’s Parkway.
Police also released the name of the passenger who died who was in the car that was T-boned at a high rate of speed near the east side Walmart in Sioux Falls.
He is Pascal Niyonkuru, 20, from Sioux Falls.
LOTS OF ROCKS, LOTS OF BROKEN WINDOWS
A Sioux Falls man sits in jail after a rock-throwing tirade Monday night.
Elijah Jamal Johnson, 27, faces three felony and three misdemeanor charges of intentional destruction of property and failure to vacate.
Police say he threw rocks through the windows of numerous businesses and organizations, including The Banquet, the Bishop Dudley House, a city bus, The Arch, First Lutheran Church, a car, and the Washington Pavilion.
TODDLER HURT AT DAYCARE
Sioux Falls Police report that a three-year-old at a daycare somehow got their neck tangled in a rope on a playground Monday afternoon.
The child was taken to the hospital.
Police do not have an update on the child’s condition.
The incident occurred in the 5300 block of South Solberg Ave.
