SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Fire Rescue is investigating a commercial building fire that occurred Friday afternoon.
When fire crews arrived, they found heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the building at 3413 North Potsdam Ave.
Firefighters extinguished it in about ten minutes.
No one was hurt in the incident.

On Friday, May 7, 2021, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire at 3413 N Potsdam Ave.
First arriving crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from the front of the commercial building. Upon further investigation, the fire appeared to be mostly exterior. Crews rapidly extinguished the fire and conducted a quick search of the structure to ensure all occupants were out.
Fire crews had the fire extinguished in approximately 10 minutes. Crews remained on scene for an additional hour to complete overhaul and ventilation operations, ensuring all hot spots had been extinguished and all the smoke was removed from the building. There were no injuries reported at this incident and all occupants safely exited the structure.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 4 fire trucks, 2 support vehicles, and 18 firefighters. The fire is under investigation. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by the Sioux Falls Police Department, Patient Care EMS of Sioux Falls, and MidAmerican Energy.
