SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Another somewhat quiet Monday in the files of the Sioux Falls Police Department Tuesday.
DRIVER GIVES VICTIM A RIDE HOME THEN ROBS HIM
Sioux Falls Police are looking for a 20-something-year-old Black man who gave another man a ride home, then threw him down and took his money.
The incident happened in the 3100 block of West 12th Street early this morning (Tuesday).
The assailant charged the victim $5 to take him to his home.
When they got out, the robber knocked the victim down and took his cash.
The victim was not seriously hurt.
ANOTHER REAL BILL TURNED INTO A 50
Sioux Falls Police report another passing of a fake $50 bill.
There was a similar incident with a fake 50 about two weeks ago at a convenience store.
Police say the counterfeiters washed a 10 and changed it to look like a 50.
The fast-food restaurant where it happened didn’t discover the fake bill until after it was in their till.
The fakes feel like real money–because it is.
So, you have to check security features like the watermark and security strip.
