Colman, SD (KELO.com) – One person died Saturday night in a vehicle-pedestrian crash near Colman, SD.
According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, a 2011 GMC Yukon was southbound in the driving lane of Interstate 29 when it struck a 34-year-old female who was walking in the driving lane. The pedestrain was pronounced dead at the scene. Both male occupants of the vehicle, the 29-year-old driver and the one-year-old passenger, were not injured. Both were wearing seat belts.
Names of the people involved are not yet being released pending notification to family members.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
