SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls Police Department is looking to hire 12 new officers by August.
Officer Sam Clemens says that no experience is necessary.
The department will make sure you are trained.
Clemens says they’re not looking for a particular type of person but someone who wants to keep the community safe.
He also says there are a number of career paths once an officer is in the police force.
These include patrol, detectives, negotiations, SWAT, and K-9, to name just a few.
