SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Fire Rescue is investigating a house fire in central Sioux Falls Tuesday night.
The fire occurred at a two story home at 2516 South Duluth.
No one was hurt but firefighters did rescue a dog on the second floor.
The fire was contained to one room but the home suffered moderate smoke damage.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — On Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021 at approximately 8:30 p.m., Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a reported structure fire at 2516 S Duluth Ave.
First arriving crews found smoke coming from the front door of the structure. Upon entry, fire crews found fire in the southeast corner of the first floor. Fire crews knocked the main body of the fire down and conducted a quick search of the structure to ensure all occupants were out of the house. A second crew entered the structure to rescue one trapped dog on the second floor. The dog was safely reunited with the owners.
Fire crews had the fire extinguished in 10 minutes. Crews remained on scene for an additional 2 hours to check for fire extension and remove all of the smoke from the two story structure. There were no injuries reported at this incident and all occupants safely exited the home prior to SFFR arrival.
The fire was contained to the room of origin, however, there was moderate smoke damage throughout the home.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with 4 fire trucks, 3 support vehicles, and 19 firefighters. The home did not have a sprinkler system. The fire is currently under investigation. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was assisted on scene by Sioux Falls Police Department, PCLS Ambulance, XCEL Energy, MidAmerican, and Red Cross.
