SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A man successfully passed a fake $100 bill at a Sioux Falls hotel.
Sioux Falls Police say the man passed a bill that said “For Motion Picture Use Only” on it and got cash.
The clerk didn’t discover the fraud until after he left.
The incident occurred at a hotel at 8th and Phillips Avenue.
Police say to check the color and feel of the paper before accepting a large denomination bill.
There are other security features in American currency, such as watermarks.
