SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police had a busy 24 hours.
Here are the highlights–or lowlights–from Wednesday’s police briefing.
A WOMAN AND A KNIFE FIGHT
Three Sioux Falls men sit in jail today (Wednesday) for aggravated assault following a domestic dispute.
Around 4 p.m. Tuesday, police came across a number of people in the 15th Street and Duluth Avenue area.
Two of the men received non-life-threatening knife wounds.
The victim was a 20-year-old woman.
Charged are her boyfriend, Shawn Rafael Roubideau, 39.
Her ex-boyfriend, Dandre Sage Bearheels, 19.
And the ex-boyfriend’s brother, Dante Blue Bearheels, 21.
MINNESOTA AVENUE INTERNATIONAL DRAG STRIP
For unknown reasons, a Sioux Falls man decided to treat Minnesota Avenue as his private drag strip.
Farrunbek Mannonov was clocked by police at over 100 miles per hour late last Tuesday night.
Police did not pursue him but caught him when he stopped at a car lot at 33rd and Minnesota to look at other cars.
Mannonov is charged with reckless driving, speeding, red-light violations, and racing.
MORE SHOTS FIRED
There was another instance of shots fired in central Sioux Falls early Tuesday afternoon.
Police received a report that someone in a car drove and fired two rounds at a guy on the sidewalk.
The man was not hurt.
Police say the intended victim said he didn’t want to pursue the matter.
STOLEN CAR LEADS TO APARTMENT BREAK-IN
A stolen car leads to a man running from the police to break into a woman’s apartment to hide.
Sioux Falls Police spotted the stolen vehicle and two men at a gas station at 6th and Cleveland Thursday night.
One man ran then entered a window in an occupied apartment on 8th Street.
He told the woman he was hiding from the police.
The police arrested him and his partner who was arrested at the gas station.
The two men face stolen property charges.
The man who didn’t run also faces drug charges and has outstanding warrants.
