SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Here were two of the bigger items at Monday’s Sioux Falls Police Briefing.
POLICE LOOKING FOR SILVER CAR
Sioux Falls Police are looking for a man in a silver car who swerved to try to hit an 11-year-old girl in a trailer park.
The incident took place in the 800 block South Regal Place Sunday evening.
Witnesses say the car was driving fast.
Authorities say they have some idea who the driver could be.
The girl was not injured.
SCAMMERS USE COMPUTER POP-UP WINDOW
A 77-year-old Sioux Falls woman is scammed out of over $10,000 in gift cards.
Police say the culprits had a pop-up on her computer screen that said she owed money on a credit card.
Authorities say they stayed on the phone with the woman as she purchased the gift cards and gave them the account numbers.
Again, police say these cases are hard to solve and get reimbursement for victims.
