SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — It likely comes as no surprise, but banker and philanthropist T. Denny Sanford is the richest person in South Dakota.
That’s according to the online graphics company Visual Capitalist and their research.
They say that Sanford is worth $1.6 billion dollars.
But for Warren Buffet just across the border in Nebraska, what would only be walking around money. He’s said to be worth $87.6 billion dollars. It also makes him the fourth richest man in America after Jeff Bezos (Washington, $193.8B), Elon Musk (Texas, $191.8B), and Mark Zuckerberg (California, $101.3B).
Some states have no billionaires among their citizenry. These include North Dakota, New Mexico, Alaska, Alabama, Rhode Island, Delaware, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
