WATERTOWN, S.D. (KELO.com) — Look for South Dakota Lottery retailers to see a steady stream of traffic over the next few days.
That’s because the Powerball and MegaMillions jackpots are currently worth a combined $1.4 billion.
South Dakota Lottery spokesman Wade LaRoche says the Powerball jackpot hasn’t been this high since March 2019, and the MegaMillions jackpot of $750 million is the second-largest in the game’s history.
It’s also just the second time in history that MegaMillions and Powerball have had simultaneous jackpots above $600 million.
MegaMillions drawings are held on Tuesdays and Fridays. Powerball drawings are Wednesdays and Saturdays.
