WATERTOWN, S.D. (KELO.com) –South Dakota’s 2021 legislative session begins in two weeks, but COVID-19 continues to be a concern in the days leading up to the session.
Sioux Falls Representative Linda Duba says she won’t go to Pierre until she gets two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The 64-year-old says there will be no in-person meetings for her out of concern for her health.
Meanwhile, State Senator Lee Schoenbeck of Watertown says he has tested positive for COVID-19.
The positive test result came back after a visit to Brown Clinic last week.
Schoenbeck says he’s had only mild symptoms.
He plans on isolating himself at his Black Hills cabin for now.
