SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls Stampede along with the Brandon Valley Hockey Association, the Watertown Hockey Association, the Scheels IcePlex and Denny Sanford PREMIER Center announced today the fourth annual “Hockey Day in South Dakota” is set to take place on Saturday, January 9. The day will feature over 40 games across the state, with three taking place inside the PREMIER Center.
The Denny Sanford PREMIER Center will host a Pee Wee matchup of the Watertown Lakers and Brandon Valley Ice Cats at 12:15 p.m. The Brandon Valley Boys JV team will play host to Watertown at 2:15 p.m. in another rivalry game. The day concludes at 7:05 p.m. that evening when the Stampede play host to the Waterloo Black Hawks.
A full slate of games is planned at the SCHEELS IcePlex and in addition the Sioux Falls Flyers are hosting a Bantam (14 U) A and B tournament on January 8 with games taking place all day long. Click here to view the entire Hockey Day South Dakota schedule.
Tickets for the games at the PREMIER Center are $12.00 each and will be valid for the Brandon Valley and Watertown games as well as the Stampede game that night. Fans can purchase their tickets in advance through the Stampede office or the day of the game in the lobby of the PREMIER Center. The Stampede return to action tomorrow night for a special New Year’s Eve tilt against the Fargo Force at 6:05 p.m. The first 1,000 fans will receive a free Stampede beanie, compliments of Copper Cottage with doors opening at 5:00 p.m. The first 500 kids will receive a free pack of Stampede trading cards and fans of all ages can take their photo at the New Year’s Eve selfie booth. Tickets are available at the KELOLAND Box Office inside the PREMIER Center or any Ticketmaster outlet.
