SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Sioux Falls Police Department had a busy long Thanksgiving weekend responding to, investigating, or making arrests in a number of aggravated assaults.
One involved a road rage incident on 41st Street about 5 p.m. Saturday.
One of the drivers flashed a gun.
Police arrested Raul Angel Portillo, Jr., 24, from Sioux Falls. He’s charged with two counts of aggravated assault and a drug charge. No one was injured.
Another involved two women fighting around 2:30 a.m. Saturday near 8th Street and Summit Avenue.
One of the women pulled a pocket knife and stabbed the victim in the shoulder and arm five times.
The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Police arrested Justice Rose Bravehawk, 22, from Sioux Falls in that incident.
In another incident, a relative pointed a gun at another family member.
Sunday around 11:20 a.m., a man pulled a gun on a woman during an argument in the 6800 block of East Dugout Lane.
Police arrested William Orlando Frantz, III, 41, from Sioux Falls. The woman, 41, was unharmed.
In another aggravated assault, police received a report of a victim who was punched and kicked and threatened with a knife. Authorities have not made an arrest in that matter yet.
