SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — A Vermillion man wielding a bat at occupied vehicles in Sioux Falls parking lots sits in jail.
James Alan Burrage, 31, faces five counts of aggravated assaults after a rampage Saturday evening.
At Monday’s police briefing, police say Burrage blocked in occupied vehicles at the Empire Mall, then the Home Depot and slammed the vehicles with a baseball bat.
Witnesses say he was yelling at the victims to stop following him.
None of the victims were following Burrage and didn’t know him.
Witnesses obtained video of his vehicle and license plate.
There were no injuries to the five victims involved. The victims were from Sioux Falls, Viborg, and Crofton, Nebraska.
