SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The two people killed in Tuesday mornings crash in Sioux Falls were not wearing seat belts.
The State Highway Patrol says both were thrown from their pickup after it rolled on icy Interstate 229 near 10th Street.
Both victims were in their 70s.
It was a two-vehicle crash, instead of a multi-vehicle crash as first reported.
The driver of the other vehicle suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities say that driver’s vehicle was northbound on the interstate when the driver lost control. The pickup was behind the vehicle, moved to the other lane, but also lost control. The two vehicles collided.
