SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Folks in the Sioux Falls area awoke to a dusting of snow on unraked leaves and sidewalks this morning.
The National Weather Service says the high for the day is supposed to be 33, so the snow could stick around for a while on the ground.
The weekend, according to the NWS, is shaping up to bring some snow, perhaps four inches or so.
Here’s what the NWS predicts this weekend for Sioux Falls:
Saturday
A slight chance of snow after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 31. East southeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
Saturday Night
Snow. Low around 23. East wind around 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.
Sunday
Snow, mainly before 1pm. High near 28. Northeast wind 10 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New snow accumulation of around 2 inches.
Sunday Night
Mostly cloudy, with a low around 7. North northwest wind around 10 mph.
