SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls’ forecast:
We’re getting an early start to the winter season, with multiple risks for wintery precipitation.
Light snow on Thursday will stay focused across central and northern South Dakota, but watch out for increasing risks for drizzle, freezing drizzle, rain, sleet or even snow by daybreak Thursday.
This light wintery precipitation will highly depend on temperatures, and it’s possible some areas could see a light icing. Better risks for snow arrive Saturday night into Sunday with accumulating snow possible.
After this risk of snow, near record cold will settle in to start next week, with several days of highs near to below freezing possible.
