SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Street Closure – Phillips Avenue
Beginning on Thursday morning, October 8, 2020, Phillips Avenue will be closing between 13th Street and 14th Street. Mid-American Energy will be finishing up the utility repairs and re-installing pavement. The work is expected to be completed by the evening of Friday, October 9, 2020.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closures – Sixth Street
Beginning on Thursday morning, October 8, 2020, crews will be installing private utilities on Sixth Street. The westbound lanes on Sixth Street will be closed between First Avenue and Weber Avenue. Eastbound traffic will be reduced to one lane and westbound traffic will use the other eastbound lane. Following the first phase of the work traffic will be switched with eastbound lanes closed and traffic head to head on the westbound lanes. This work is expected to be done by the evening of October 23, 2020.
