WORTHING, S.D. (KELO.com) — The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office reports that earlier this afternoon (Tuesday), Tyson Shawn Wessels assaulted a Turner County Deputy and stole their marked black Ford SUV sheriff’s vehicle.
Authorities say he then ditched the patrol vehicle and is now driving in a 2004 blue Ford F-250 crew cab with IA license plates 616-ZCO. It has customized rims and customized painted bumpers. Authorities are asking that farmers in the field pull their keys if they have vehicles in the field.
We have no word yet on the deputy’s condition.
