SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The 2020 campaign season isn’t over yet, but Governor Kristi Noem is already looking forward to 2022.
That’s when she will be up for re-election.
Yesterday a new campaign fundraising letter went out to her supporters, raising funds to finance her 2022 campaign.
In it, Noem defends her COVID-19 response against criticism from Democrats and states that the left is mobilizing against her.
Here is the text of the letter:
Fellow Conservative,
Honestly, we saw this coming.
From the moment Governor Kristi Noem decided to place the liberty and freedom of all South Dakotans at the front and center during the coronavirus pandemic, we knew that the radical left was going to come for her.
And they have. The governor has been attacked by some of the most prominent Democrats in the country, including Rachel Maddow, Elizabeth Warren, Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan, and writers at The Daily Beast.
Why? Because the coastal elites can’t stand that Governor Noem trusts her people to make good decisions. At the beginning of the outbreak, she did not issue mandatory shelter-in-place orders. Instead, she shared the information she had with the citizens of South Dakota, asked them to please be safe and smart, and then she let them decide the best course of action for themselves and their loved one.
And the D.C. Democrats can’t stand her for it.
Governor Noem’s reelection isn’t until 2022, but the left is already mobilizing against her.
We need to start building up her war chest NOW if we’re going to be able to fight off the baseless attacks that are already being lobbed at her.
It’s only going to get worse!
Please help us fight back against the Democrat machine by making a donation today. Every dollar helps stop the spread of the vicious lies being told about our freedom-loving governor.
We need more leaders like Governor Noem in America, who know the true value of liberty and freedom. It’s what makes our great country special!
Thanks for your support,Beth Hollatz, Financial Director
