SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police respond to a number of odd crimes between Friday and today.
They noted the following incidents at today’s police briefing.
SPORTS CAR STOLEN OFF THE DEALER’S FLOOR
Saturday night, someone broke into Mark Juhl Auto Sports on North Minnesota Ave.
They stole a car from the showroom.
They came back and stole another car from the lot.
The stolen cars were a 2012 Dodge Charger and a 2002 Corvette.
Officers eventually spotted both cars at a hotel Satruday afternoon and arrested the suspect.
HERKY-JERKY DRIVER TRIES TO RUN DOWN MAN IN REVERSE
Friday evening, a man was driving in a herky-jerky manner near 11th and Minnesota.
He told officers he was having car trouble.
The suspect parked by Minervas.
He saw a man in his review mirror, gunned the car in reverse, nearly hitting the man behind him, damaging his SUV.
The driver then speeds off.
Police are still trying to locate the suspect.
PEEPING “TOM” PARKS IN VICTIM’S DRIVEWAY
Last night, a window peaker tried to talk to his victim through their door camera.
The suspect left, only to return later, where he peeped into the victim’s windows.
He was arrested while in his car in the victim’s driveway.
ASSAILANTS BREAK INTO APARTMENT WITH GUN, DEMAND SHOES
At 2 a.m. this morning, victims say two black men broke into their apartment and brandished a gun.
They demanded shoes.
The culprits left with the shoes and are still on the loose.
OTHER ASSAILANTS BREAK INTO APARTMENT, MUFFLE WOMAN, STEAL TV
About 1 a.m. today, two different Native American male assailants broke into a different apartment.
They put their hand over the woman resident’s mouth to keep her from screaming.
They took her TV.
They are still at large.
PERSON WITH A GUN POPS FROM A BUSH WITH A GUN
Friday night, a man was walking his dog in the 13th and Prairie area of town.
He noticed a car following him and shining a flashlight at him.
While walking, a woman jumped out of a bush and pointed a handgun at him.
The dog walker said he was going to call the police.
The woman ran off and jumped into the car that was following him.
Police arrested the man driving the car but did not find the woman or the weapon.
