SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Fire officials are investigating the cause of a fire at a feed mill.
The fire occurred just after midnight this morning in the area of West 9th Street and North Marion Road.
When Sioux Falls Fire Rescue arrived, they saw smoke and flames in part of the structure.
SFFR extinguished the fire in about 20 minutes.
No one was hurt.

On Sunday, August 31, 2020 at approximately 12:14 a.m., Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded to a possible structure fire in the area of W. 9th Street and N. Marion Road.
There were several reports of smoke in the area, and the first fire truck on scene reported visible smoke and flames through the roof in one area of the structure at feed mill processing plant. Fire crews initially began extinguishing the fire from the exterior with the use of a ladder truck. The majority of the fire was extinguished within 20 minutes, with fire damage contained to the one area of the structure. Crews investigated and found light smoke throughout the interior of the structure, but no fire extension. Crews remained on scene to perform overhaul and extinguish small hot spots.
Sioux Falls Fire Rescue responded with five fire apparatus, two support vehicles, and a total of 21 personnel. Sioux Falls Fire Rescue was assisted by Sioux Falls Police Department, PCLS Ambulance, Metro Communications, Xcel Energy, and Mid-American Energy.
There were no injuries to occupants or responders. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
