SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — The new school year is off to a great start, and Superintendent Jane Stavem couldn’t be happier.
She cites all the hard work put in by staff to get the schools ready for the first year in the COVID-19 era. She is happy with the way the school has been set up to keep social distancing, as well as the creative ways that students are practicing social distancing.
She has even learned the meaning of the word “smeyes”, wihich is seeing the smiles of the students through the eyes while wearing masks.
