CUSTER, S.D. (KELO.COM) — It all started yesterday evening.
A woman got off a motorcycle and approached a bison calf.
An adult bison charged her, catching her belt on its horn and tossing her around violently.
Eventually her pants came off, and she fell to the ground.
The Custer County Chronicle says she was flown to the hospital, but her injuries were not serious.
Now the Custer County Sheriff’s Office has responded with this Facebook post:
Well, it’s that time of the year again……..
We would like to remind everyone to not pet the fluffy cows – also known as Bison/Buffalo. We have had calls about the fluffy cows blocking the road occasionally – some people are also getting too close.
Remember this is their park and we are the guests….please give them a break and keep your distance.
Good advice!
