The Trump Boat Parade in Okoboji drew between 1200-1500 boats on Saturday. Estimates are that 3-4 times that many people attended.
The event was organized by Scott and Lori Kuchel and Iowa State Representative John Wills of Spirit Lake.
Scott Kuchel spoke to the Iowa Standard and compared the boat parade to events in Minneapolis.
“The best thing about it was it was peaceful,” Scott said. “It was a spectacle like no other. It is hard to comprehend that three-and-a-half hours north in Minneapolis it looks like a war zone in places.”
Another boat parade is scheduled for Saturday, August 15th around Big Spirit Lake.
