Sioux Falls- “I am announcing today my intent to run for Minnehaha County Treasurer. I will be asking the Minnehaha County Democratic Party Central Committee tonight to
place my name on the November Ballot,” Pat Starr said Tuesday morning.
“Current county treasurer Pam Nelson’s withdrawal from the ballot has created an unexpected opening that I am honored to fill. I look forward to serving the residents of
Minnehaha County,” said Starr.
Starr said there are 3 things his campaign will highlight in the coming election:
*Fiscal Responsibility
*Customer Service
*Technology and Innovation
“The growth of Minnehaha County in the past 10 years has placed a strain on essential services provided by the Treasurer’s Office. Small increases in resources to the office
have not kept pace with the rapid population growth in the County and services required by the public are falling behind. I plan to use technology and innovation coupled with fiscal responsibility and customer
service to improve the experience residents receive from the office,” Starr said.
