SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Temperatures will continue to climb into the weekend, with afternoon heat indices exceeding 100° in many areas on Friday and Saturday afternoons.
There will be mainly night time thunderstorm chances through the weekend, then again on Monday.
With very warm temperatures ahead, now is the time to think about heat safety.
The Sioux Falls National Weather Service has provided the attached Heat Safety Checklist.
With heat indices forecast to be in the 100 to 105° range today and tomorrow, be sure to keep these safety tips in mind.
