Mitchell Public Safety Chief Glen Still resigned Tuesday.
That’s the word from Mayor Bob Everson.
Still replaced long-time Public Safety Chief Lyndon Overweg after serving on the Fremont, Nebraska Police Department for 33 years. There’s no word on where he’s headed next.
IT’S HOT IN OSCEOLA, IOWA!
The Osceola Police Department sends out a notice that the city is under a Heat Advisory until 8 p.m. tonight.
They say, “Stay hydrated.”
MUSCATINE, IOWA MAYOR WANTS MASKS. IOWA GOVERNOR SAYS NO

Muscatine Mayor Diana Broderson wanted to order everyone in the city to wear masks to help fight the coronavirus.
Republican Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds said no. She says that would violate her statewide order on state recommendations on the coronavirus. The order does not mandate masks.
The lawyers are sorting it out.
CITY OF NEWELL, IOWA IMPOSES “DO NOT USE” ORDER POSSIBLE MERCURY CONTAMINATION IN WATER
The city’s water supply operator noticed what they say appears to be a small amount of mercury in a city wastewater drain.
The city is working to find the source of the mercury. In the meantime, they say drink bottled water.
