SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Looks like Sioux Falls parents are all for the schools re-opening in the fall with their kids in the classroom.
The School District recently conducted a survey.
More than 90 percent of parents support in-class learning as long CDC guidelines are followed.
Sioux Falls’s new school superintendent has plenty of experience dealing with COVID-19. Jane Stavem ran a school district in Washington State near a COVID hotspot.
“We had a school just two blocks or so from the location where those first deaths occurred. So that really shook people up,” says Stavem in a video on YouTube posted by the Sioux Falls School District. Stavem says she has been impressed with the teamwork in Sioux Falls, planning how to educate children safely.
