CANTON, S.D. (KELO.com) — The State of South Dakota will seek the death penalty for the murder of young Sioux Falls woman abducted in her car as she left work in January.
The body of Pasqalina Badi was found days later in a ditch in Lincoln County.
Lincoln County State’s Attorney Tom Wollman says the case against suspect Amir Beaudion meets multiple aggravating circumstances that support capital punishment if he’s found guilty.
Surveillance video shows a man entering the woman’s car after she left work at Walmart near Arrowhead Parkway. Autopsy results indicated that Badi had been strangled to death.
Beaudion had originally been arrested on charges unrelated to the murder but was eventually indicted on 15 felony counts for the crime.
