SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Police are investigating three unconnected robberies overnight.
- STALKING WITH A SIDE OF ROBBERY
At 10 p.m. near 3rd and Minnesota, authorities say a man was stalking his former girlfriend.
She saw him messing with her car.
The victim went to check on her car and the assailant took her purse and her cell phone.
Police think he may have either pushed or hit her.
Police caught the man.
Jesus Alberto For, 29, from Sioux Falls, faces 2nd-degree robbery, stalking, and intentional damage to property charges.
The victim is ok.
- ROBBER PICKS A CASHLESS VICTIM
after 10 p.m. near the 5000 block of North Cliff Avenue, authorities say a woman was walking along the sidewalk.
A man offered her a ride.
Once in the car, she pulled a knife and demanded money.
The victim said he had none and went to a gas station to get some.
At the gas station, the woman ran off.
Police caught the woman.
Cheyenne Duan Hawk, 37 from Fort Thompson, SD, faces robbery and other charges.
- CELL PHONE PURCHASE GETS SLICED
About 1:30 this morninG, a man was standing in front of a motel.
Three men came up to him and one of them wanted to buy his cell phone.
Instead, one of the three men punched the victim and another sliced the victim’s hand with a knife.
The victim is ok but needed stitches.
Police are looking for two short Native American men and one short white man.
The robberies were reported at today’s police briefing.
