SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Several stores had glass doors or windows broken out following rioting last night at the Sioux Empire Mall.
Sioux Falls Police officers on the scene said some of the participants at the disturbance were as young as six or seven riding their bikes around and others were in their teens. Police said there were a lot of unsupervised youth either at the mall or participating in the damage.
They also said some of the protestors also tried to stop others from causing damage to mall stores.
At about 12:30 a.m., the mall had already brought in workers to replace broken glass and doors.
