MONTROSE, S.D. (KELO.com) — The City of Montrose will open its swimming pool June 1, weather permitting.
They are one of the first communities to announce their pool will be open this summer during the age of the coronavirus.
Swimmers will need to sign a waiver that they understand the risks of COVID-19. Users under age 18 will need to have the waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian.
Montrose also says they will abide by CDC guidelines.
The city made the announcement on its Facebook page today.

The pool is scheduled to open June 1, weather permitting. Hours of operation may be limited due to availability of the limited number of lifeguards currently hired. All patrons using the pool will need to have a waiver signed and on file at the pool house stating they understand the risks of COVID-19.
Guests under the age of 18 must have a waiver signed by their parent/legal guardian in the presence of the pool manager. Children will not be allowed to take forms home to bring back as we will be unable to verify the form was signed by their parent/guardian.
CDC guidelines and social distancing recommendations must be followed. All patrons must adhere to rules and directions given to them by pool staff or they will be told to leave. Rules or procedures may change over the course of the season based on city, state, or federal directives/recommendations.
Swim Lessons will be held June 22 – July 2 Monday through Thursday with Friday for any weather makeup days. Times not yet determined.
Admission Fees:
Daily Admission: $3.00
Family Season Pass: $75.00 for up to 6 immediate family members only
Individual Season Pass: $45.00
