SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Lane Closure – 57th Street
Beginning on Monday, May 11, 2020, the outside eastbound lane of East 57th Street will be closed between Caraway Drive and Batcheller Lane to allow crews to temporarily widen the road for the upcoming reconstruction and resurfacing of 57th Street from Minnesota Avenue to Western Avenue.
One lane of traffic in the eastbound direction will be maintained at all times. Westbound traffic will not be impacted at this time. Drivers should remain alert to changing conditions while driving through the work area.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closure – 26th Street
Beginning on Monday, May 11, 2020, the eastbound lane of West 26th Street will be closed between Discovery Avenue and Ellis Road to allow crews to perform concrete repairs. One lane of traffic will be maintained in each direction at all times. Once the work on the eastbound lane is complete, work will shift to the westbound lane.
This work is anticipated to be complete in approximately two weeks.

Street Closure – Southeastern Avenue
Beginning on Monday, May 11, 2020, Southeastern Avenue will be closed north of 26th Street to allow construction crews to install underground utilities and begin excavation of the retaining walls. Traffic traveling east/west on 26th Street will continue to be open. Business access will be via Cleveland Avenue. Motorists are encouraged to utilize Bahnson and Cleveland Avenue.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Street Closure – 13th Street
Beginning on Monday, May 11, 2020, West 13th Street will be closed from Dakota Avenue to Main Avenue to allow crews to perform concrete pavement patching.
Weather permitting, this work is anticipated to be complete within one week.
