PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Five more South Dakotans have died from the coronavirus.
All five were from Minnehaha County.
The South Dakota Department of Health says the statewide death toll is 29, with 24 of those deaths in Minnehaha County.
Positive cases increased by 58 to 2,779.
82 South Dakotans have recovered, bringing that total to 1,895.
Three fewer people are currently in hospital, dropping that number to 72.
A total of 230 people have been hospitalized over the course of the pandemic.
There are also 29 fewer ongoing cases, making that total 773.
