PIERRE, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Smithfield plant related coronavirus cases have stalled over the past couple of days.
There are 853 Smithfield workers who have tested positive and 245 people who have a close connection to those workers. Those numbers have not changed for a few days.
“With the Smithfield facility now having been shut for 14 days now, we are not seeing that as a potential area where people are getting their exposures,” said South Dakota State Epidemiologist Josh Clayton.
Clayton says the Smithfield numbers are not likely to change.
