SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Street construction update:
Lane Closures – Minnesota Avenue
Beginning on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, the northbound and southbound outside lanes of Minnesota Avenue will be closed south of Interstate 229 to allow crews to perform bridge maintenance work. After the work in the outside lanes is complete, the lane closure will shift to the northbound and southbound inside lanes and center turn lane.
This work is anticipated to be complete by mid-May.
Drivers are urged to use caution and reduce their speed while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
Lane Closures – Kiwanis Avenue
Beginning on Thursday, April 30, 2020, the outside southbound lane of Kiwanis Avenue between 12th Street and 33rd Street will be closed in three separate locations to allow construction crews to perform storm drainage repairs. Each closure will be limited to a few hundred feet. One lane of southbound traffic will be maintained at all times. Northbound traffic will not be impacted.
This work is anticipated to be complete in approximately one week.

Lane Closure – 41st Street
Beginning on Thursday, April 30, 2020, the outside westbound lane of West 41st Street will be closed at Minnesota Avenue to allow crews to install a new traffic signal footing. As part of this work, the southbound right turn lane from Minnesota Avenue onto 41st Street will also be closed, as well as the sidewalk in this area.
This work is anticipated to be complete in three days.

Street Closure – 22nd Street
Beginning on Thursday morning, April 30, 2020, West 22nd Street will be closed between Wheatland Avenue and Ellis Road with a detour on South Monticello Avenue and West 26th Street.
Prunty Construction will be installing new utilities.
This work is anticipated to be completed in approximately one week.

Lane Closure – Ninth Street
Beginning on Friday, May 1, 2020, the outside eastbound lane of East Ninth Street will be closed at Phillips Avenue to the east approximately 200’.
Journey Construction will be performing building repairs.
This work is anticipated to be complete by the end of the day on April 1, 2021.
