SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO.com) — Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken is considering loosening certain restrictions on city facilities, but has not arrived at a final decision yet.
The mayor said the city was looking at “opening some of the amenities of our parks, some of our city buildings,” at a Monday press briefing.
TenHaken said whatever is decided will be based on medical data.
The mayor also said he has been in touch with leadership from the Smithfield meatpacking plant about reopening the facility. He said there would be a discussion with leadership “potentially in the middle of this week” that he was “very much looking forward to.”
